In April 2024, I moved from Brussels to Madrid to do my Master Thesis at Imdea Software Institute under the supervision of Georgios Portokalidis.

During the internship I developed techniques to identify dormant vulnerabilities in containerized environments. My work focuses on:

• Creating detection methodologies for CVEs in Debian-based containers
• Building a tool that assesses vulnerability criticality in real-time

This research aims to save resources that are wasted on updating systems that are not in threat of vulnerabilities. The developed tool detects vulnerabilities that are not reachable in the system and informs the stakeholders that the particular vulnerabilities are low priority.
