Completing my Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Cybersecurity (CYBERUS) with Grande Distinction (16.35/20) was both an academic milestone and a profoundly human experience. Moving between University of Southern Brittany in France and Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, I found myself in a vibrant international environment where late-night study sessions often turned into cultural exchanges with classmates from across the globe.
In my master’s thesis, “Enhancing System Security Through Static Analysis by Detecting Dormant Vulnerabilities”, I have undertook the challenge of detecting vulnerabilities that are not reachable within the system akam dormant. With the help of the mentorship of Professors Georgios Portokalidis and Jan Tobias Muehlberg, I developed methods identify functions of the binaries that contains vulnerabilities, and identify un-reachable functions, hence unreachable vulnerabilities.
What began as an academic pursuit became so much more. The friends I made during those two years - debating security paradigms over Belgian fries, celebrating small victories together - became my professional network and personal support system. After my graduation I realized that it is not just coursework completed, but perspectives gained and connections forged across borders.
